HOW TO COMPLETE MSME REGISTRATION FOR NEW BUSINESS?

WHAT IS MSME ?

MSME CERTIFICATE :-

An MSME certificate is given to applicants after their successful registration.This acts as proof of registration And is an allowed document that is accepted to receive any authorizations, concessions, or schemes.

Any applicant set out  to register numerous MSMEs and  must complete a separate registration process for each business. And a unique MSME certificate is produced for each of these.The government has created classifications to divide firms into micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises for each industry. Currently, the classification is based on:Manufacturing Enterprises Enterprises Rendering ServicesThe revised notification, which was released on June 1st, 2020 (with effect on July 1st, 2020), omits the definition that was previously issued on September 29, 2006, essentially as follows: 

➠Micro-EnterpriseSector: Machinery and/or EquipmentA company in the aforementioned industry shall be regarded as a micro-enterprise if its investment does not exceed Rs 1 crore and its annual turnover does not exceed Rs 5 crore. 

➠ Small Business Sector: Machinery and/or Equipment

A business under the above-specified industry shall be classed as a small enterprise if it does not exceed 10 crore rupees in investment and the annual turnover does not exceed 50 crore rupees.

➨Medium EnterpriseSector: Machinery and/or Equipment A business under the above-specified industry shall be classed as a medium enterprise if it does not exceed 50 crore rupees in investment and the annual turnover does not exceed 250 crore rupees.

To simplify, the classification stands as follows for Plant, Machinery or Equipment: 

➠Micro: Investment<Rs. 1 lakh & Annual Turnover<Rs.50 Cr

➠Small: 10 crore rupees invested, 50 crore rupees in annual revenue

➠Medium: Investment<Rs. 50 Cr & Annual Turnover<Rs. 250 Cr

What are the Benefits of MSME registration? 

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises recognises the MSME sector’s vitality and energy as a significant factor in India’s economy’s expansion. Over the past five decades, MSMEs have helped to industrialize and improve rural and underdeveloped areas by providing support. 

To that end, MSMEs have been instrumental in preserving the history of our magnificent country. MSMEs are essential for all of these reasons, among others. And to help MSME owners run stable, profitable businesses, the Ministry of MSMEs offers a wide range of programmes and advantages.

Here are some advantages granted by the Indian government to registered MSMEs:

➨Bank loan interest rates are drastically reduced for registered MSMEs. MSMEs are eligible for loans with more reasonable EMIs starting at just 1%.

➨Tax exemption is available to MSMEs that are registered and have an MSME Certificate.

➨For registered MSMEs, the Minimum Alternate Tax (MAT) period can be extended for an additional 15 years. The MAT standard is 10 years, however.

Applications for licenses and certifications issued by the Indian government are prioritized for MSMEs registered under the Ministry of MSMEs.A registered MSME is entitled to a number of discounts and exemptions from paying for patents and other startup expenses. Registered MSMEs’ owners have simple access to credit for their companies.

Due to the Udyam Registration Portal’s integration with the Government e-Marketplace, MSMEs are given advantage when applying for government contracts.
